At Kings Harvest Pet Rescue No Kill Shelter, our mission is to save homeless pets by providing shelter, medical care, and loving homes. To help us focus our resources where they are needed most, we offer the following services:

Owner Surrenders

We accept owner surrenders by appointment.

Please note: If you have been feeding or caring for an animal for 7 days or more, you may legally be considered the owner and responsible for surrendering the pet.

Found a Lost Dog or Cat?

Kings Harvest Pet Rescue does not accept lost or stray animals.

If you have found a pet, please contact:

• Scott County Humane Society – for animals found in Scott County, Iowa

• QC Paws – for animals found in Illinois

These organizations are responsible for helping reunite lost pets with their families.

Before Taking a Found Pet to a Shelter…

Many lost pets make it back home because caring people take a few minutes to post them online.

Please post the pet and search all three of these Facebook groups:

• Quad City Area Lost and Found Pets

• QC Lost and Found Pets

• QCA Lost and Found Pets

Be sure to include a clear photo, the location where the pet was found, and your contact information. Checking all three groups greatly increases the chances of reuniting a pet with its family.

Saving Pets From High-Risk Shelters

One of our biggest missions is rescuing animals from overcrowded, high-intake shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia. We provide them with medical care, love, and the opportunity to find forever homes.

Together, we can give homeless pets the second chance they deserve.
